National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD.

Worked full time in a chemical engineering laboratory. Independently developed protocols, performed literature reviews, and experiments. Gave weekly updates to other REU students and to startup process engineering firm, ideaCHEM.

Worked as a contractor for ideaCHEM.

Compiled and published results for USB soy research grant.

Won 3rd place at National Collegiate Honors Conference for poster presentation in Boston, MA.

I presented this research at the Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Arts in Pullman, WA, South Dakota EPSCoR Undergraduate Summer Research Symposium in Pierre, SD, and the National Collegiate Honors Conference in Boston, MA.

Additionally, pursuing research won me Sophomore and Junior of the Year in the Gene and Linda Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering.
